A friend in my coworking space blatantly copied me. I demoed my platform on Friday, and by Monday morning he had built it over the weekend.
At first I was furious. But then it really showed me something: building, developing, shipping SaaS is no longer defensible. Anything can be built by anyone, and it will only get easier and easier.
You have to differentiate on something else. Always assume someone can copy your product in a weekend. Accept that, rapidly, then get to work on the thing that cannot be copied.
